EDUCATION · DUE DILIGENCE · TERMS

Is an investing programme worth it?

The useful question is not whether any programme can produce a return. It is whether a particular educational programme is clear about what it provides, what it does not provide and what you need to do yourself.

Start with the right expectation

No course, tool or mentor can forecast your outcome, remove investment risk or make a decision suitable for you without understanding your circumstances. An educational programme should help you judge and improve your own process—not make promises about gains.

What are you paying for?

Be specific. Are you considering a course, a research service, a community, a model portfolio, live access to a mentor, or a combination of these? The answer matters because a person looking for tax planning or a personal recommendation may need a regulated adviser instead.

GIP combines lifetime programme access, research tools, educational model portfolios, market commentary and 1-to-1 mentoring. Members retain their own broker accounts and remain responsible for decisions. It is education, not discretionary management or personalised investment advice.

What about a value calculator?

A calculator can be useful for framing questions about cost, ownership and assumptions. It cannot tell you what your portfolio will return, whether an investment is suitable or whether a programme will pay for itself. Treat any illustration as a prompt for due diligence, not as a prediction.

You can explore the GIP value calculator as an educational aid, alongside the terms and risk disclosures. Check every assumption before relying on it.

A better decision rule

Only proceed if you understand the cost and terms, know that investing can fall as well as rise, and want to do the work of making your own decisions. If you need personal recommendations or somebody to manage money for you, use the appropriate regulated route instead.
